Hello, I guess this is my intro - i recently got into/addicted to knives, but now i got bit by the Benchmade bug and specifically balisongs. In the past month i got a 32, 585, 527, and i love them.

Now i am looking for a regular sized balisong other than my Bear & son trainer. Would you get the 51 or the 62?

Thanks for the welcome. I am not really looking for the 42 as I know they're a hot commodity right now, and Im not at the point to spend 400 for one production knife. But I know the 51 and 62 are in similar price ranges, so I'm deciding between 51/62.

51 is better EDC
62 is [probably] better flipper.

Well, you can edc 62 and you can flip 51. No prob.
But one of them is little bit better over another one in mentioned respects.

But you have to decide what you intend it for.

I plan to order 62 just for the sake of collecting
Now I'm waiting for my 51-1011 because EDC potential of this knife is stronger and in addition to that I enjoy flipping it.

get a 51 now, you still have a few months till the 62 comes out, and you really need to get them both anyway
