Hello folks. Now that I'm getting back into flipping, I'd like to expand what I know at this point.

Please let me know what web sites or sources you know of that are best for instructional online videos or information on bali-song flipping?

I have the Jeff Imada bali-song manual buried somewhere, but I've got to believe that there are free online videos and web sites available now that might be more helpful.

Thanks very much for any information.

Youtube is your best bet.
Also check out http://brokenbrains.us/arena Most of the skilled flippers hang out there.

There's a guy on YouTube named Bitehandle whose instruction is the best, IMO. He assumes you know nothing and builds each move from there.

Another great bali tuto guy is Cutlerylover. He has a lot of tutos on there.

These two are the best I've run across, but Bitehandle is the one from whom I get the most thorough explanations.

Good luck, and remember to buy LOTS of bandages.

Oh, and duct tape your blades, unless you have a trainer balisong. You're welcome.

Thanks!

I'll be ordering a trainer (or two) this coming week.
So far I'm an ambidextrous flipper and want to keep it that way going forward.

Thanks again!

That's cool, especially if you want to compete. I knew I'd never compete once I saw a video clip of a guy who is flipping ambidextrously...flipping like a madman, and then...he leans forward and tosses them both across his back and catches them...behind his back!!! The whole time grinning into the camera. No way I'll ever bother trying to get to that level.

Good luck!

Oh, yeah. The "brokenbrains" link that RxEnergy posted for you up there isn't just a discussion forum, it's a challenge arena, as well. Members throw down challenges by submitting videos of themselves flipping, then others submit an answering video. Then, members vote for the winner. In fact, that's probably where I saw the video I mentioned above.

Cruise YouTube and you'll find organized flipping, or manipulating competitions. I can't remember the names of the organizations. Some of those guys are ridiculous!

The competition is called FATOC, or the Flipping Arena Tournament of Champions.... I am a member over there and have several videos up... In fact I am doing a lot better than I expected so far in the tournament. It is actively running, with the 4th of 5 rounds due on Saturday. Search youtube for FATOC, and you will see the current entries...

It is a bit coarser over there, as far as language and content (nothing pornographic though), but at heart its people who deeply enjoy manipulating balisongs...

We really are a tight knit group over there, and enjoy the company of anyone else who enjoys flipping, from the new guys to the experienced masters of the art!

Thanks for the information.
I've signed up over there as JSA as well.
I hope to put up a video in the future, but I need to get some practice in first.
Please post a link to your videos if you would.
Thanks again!
