I asked if you owned a 42 because you had guessed that the knife in the picture was a 42MC. I didn't mean to insult you, but I thought you had a 42 and would be able to tell that the knife in the picture didn't share much in common with a 42. I don't own an example of either, but the handles are just really different. I didn't mean to offend. Also, I'm not positive, but I think the MC in the 42MC just stands for Metal Clip? I haven't seen any further differences in pictures. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member

no offense taken...like a knife with different versions... the overall blade shape looks like a wehawk.... and that they had different handles that had been used. sounds funny now I think about it... but like the grip's now different blade shapes hole no hole multiple color options still a grip.... follow? _________________________________________ ... it's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...Hit it...! I do. I had a prior knowledge of it though because I was researching information about a 239 I'd bought for $15 and came across the 259. Like anybody else, I sometimes take for granted that things I've learned might be common knowledge. The 239/259 were, I think, Benchmade's "Value series" or similar. The Zamak handles are pretty cheap and the knives definitely break down with use. I know the 239 was, I think the 259 just had those inserts but was still made from the same materials. In those times, it was the 30/35 models that were expensive. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member

Sure do. It's the knife that brought me here a year ago (trying to research it). -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member
