No rust yet. I usually carry inside the waistband. ,

There were no rust signs on my 51, but there were barely visible stains all over the blade I believe caused by moisture. I haven't tried to polish them off. Unfortunately I lost this knife I will be more cautious with my next 51 to avoid those spots. ---------------------------------------------------- 42, 42SS, 42-400, 43, 43MC, 46MC, Balibalistic TAC-U, DR Venturi V82 Tanto I have two pets: a large main cat, and a small emergency backup one.

Yes. When I'm active and/or it is hot, there is visable moisture on the knife.

what state do you live in? "I see you have constructed a new lightsaber."

VA, within puking distance of D.C. I spend time close to/on the coast, also. I find rust as an issue seems more related to a person's chemistry than the enviroment these days. I have aquaintances who have problems with rust on all there guns/knives, while I rarely have issues.

Yes, South Florida, in fact. Very wet, very humid. I've had my safe queen for over a year, and my EDC for a couple months longer. And when I call it "my EDC," I mean I do carry it every day, not just "in the rotation." That knife is clipped to my pocket and rides with me, rain or shine, along with my Impel. Those two never leave the "rotation," although others do cycle around. I use it to cut boxes, open letters, saw through a steak (in fact, I used it on a lovely ribye while having a late lunch with my mother just yesterday This 51 has seen its share of rain, sweat, rides along the beach...even riding through the White Mountains up in New Hampshire a couple of months ago. If I've used it during a meal, I wipe it down. If it just gets the day-to-day normal use, I wipe it down at the end of the day. If it doesn't come out of my pocket, I don't wipe it off until I've used it. No rust, no discoloration that I can see. It's simply my favorite balisong user...ever. ************************************************************************ Charter Member #9 and Skullmaster °„° Lum Lunatics Brotherhood of the 420 Boomerangs 'n Butterflies: An Osborne Alliance | General, and Member #950 Pardue Pimps® #3 Jack of all Trades, and Good Enough to get Paid for All of Them. ************************************************************************ "No time for the old 'in-out,' luv - I've just come to read the meter!" -Alexander DeLarge (Prisoner Number Six Double Five Three Two One)
