Not sure how you can epicaly fail your "classic bali fans" when it hasn't been released yet... To be fair, everyone is just judging the 62 based on what they see. No one really knows how it flips and handles until they get one in hand, except for those who handled it at SHOT Show.

I'm kinda digging the old school look myself, especially since they went with a classic T-latch and stainless steel handle.

I can't wait to get my 62 in.

Everyone that handled 62s at the SHOT Show said they were amazing. So I can't wait to have one.

From what i read the ti molds were reaching the end of their life, and they were very expensive to have remade. they made the buisness decision to discontinue the line rather then spending thousands of dollars for new molds. Yes people loved the knives but they made a sound buisness decision IMO. sure i wish 42's were 100 bucks still but thats how things are everything has an end and that one came before some wanted. the 62 is a fine replacement. is it what everyone wants no, but people cant always get what they want. we should be happy for the 62 benchmade could have totally ignored us and just left us with the 53,51,32. be happy for what you have guys.

at least thy could remake the 4x line just with the ss handles and keep the spring latch tht stayd out of your way . idk i mis my like 5 4x series knifes i had lost them all in sum stooped moving mix up i still say the movers took them tho

from what i have heard they will be making other blade shapes,as for the latch not sure what made them go that route but its a classic design.
