This knife has been out for almost a year. Do you guys like it? For a Benchmade balisong with bearings, at about $150, it seems like a good deal. Does any one know what type bearings it has? I looked through the threads here, but didn't find an answer. I have read the flippers don't like it, but it looks like a good edc to me.

Would prefer one with a 4.5 inch blade. Otherwise I'm lukewarm.

I agree, I carry mine to work as an EDC, it's a tough little blade and sharp, I do flip it a little but nothin' fancy...

I bought one just to check out the bearings - they work great and I don't have to keep tightening them. VERY sharp!

:/ meh

If you want a bad ass, high quality, EDC bali, get a Mayhem!

If you really can't afford it, then the 53 might be a half-way decent a substitute. Honestly though it's worth the extra $ to get the Mayhem if you have the scratch, if not...save up. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

p.s. fwiw, The Mayhem has the Bradley name, but was manufactured by Benchmade.

Yes, I love my 53 too! Big Grin

Excellent blade and ergonomics, a really great cutting tool.

I had a small problem with the safe handle pivot screw backing out, but finally got the Loctite to take hold. It stays in adjustment now.

I find the flex in the G-10 handles a little hinky, but that is mostly a matter of getting used to it. It cuts hard stuff and doesn't break. The light weight is an asset too.

My favorite thing about it is the blade. Really like the size, shape, and grind for EDC utility a lot.
