You beat me to it, but I'd like to confirm. Those are indeed white squares with red X's. Cool

New to the forum here... My workplace deals in used knives and I was wondering about a balisong. I passed up what looked to be a model 259. we bought it cheap and priced it at 100$.. Blade has factory edge and is close to new. Handle is great, but the clasp is very loose and falls open. Good pass or bad? thanks.

Good. A new 239 was sold on the forum this morning for $125 (which is cheap, normally they go for around $150)

thanks Rx, I have been a viewer for a long time and your knowledge unbelievable.. We also bought a 450 in "used" but not abused condition for very little and priced it at 65$. I have one already but am in love with the little guy. any thoughts there. Much appreciated.

450 is a nice one! BC1 coating is a nice touch, too. It was the only collaboration BM had with Bob Terzuola and somewhere along the way the deal went sour (or so I heard) and all 450's I've seen (except for one) were from the Pre-Production Run. Not sure how many were made, but no more then 1000. The knife never made it to regular production. They don't come up for sale very often, but when they do prices rarely go over $120 for NIB.

Thanks. Yes the coating is tougher than hell. I may just pick it up as a back up after all if they are hard to find.
