I finally am going to get a BM42. Now I have to deal with how to edc it. I have read mixed things about whether you can add a clip or not to it. Some seem to think you can by ordering a clip kit and purchasing longer screws. I have even seen a aftermarket clip made from a spoon handle.

I think most carry sheaths. It seems like there are a few good sheath producers out there, the best one being gary graley, but his website is gone. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him?

Do you have any other carry ideas? What about the clip? I welcome your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes a 42 with a clip will come up in the second hand market.

I am familiar with the 42mc. I guess what I was wondering was if you could add one to one that does not come with it.

the 42 mc has a milled out space for the clip to sit in the handle itself...so as far as adding a clip to it...i dont think it is possible cause the clip would just sit on top with one screw in it so it would probably not sit still and rotate...unless they have some sort of special clip for a 42 or if you could have it milled out for a clip to fit into...fallow what i'm saying???

i edc mine in a belt sheath....i dont really like doing that but that allows me to carry a secondary clipped to my pocket cause there are certain things i would not do to a 42

I know I have seem canvas pouches that have a clip on them like the
pouch for the shoki...except larger for the 42 that you could wear on
the inside of your pocket. then it would just look like a regular clip?

For questions number 1....i do not think you can add a clip to it....and benchmade sells a sheath for it..thats what i use it is vertical or horizontal carry.

btw congrats on getting your 42!!! i told you to just keep an eye out!
