Hey everyone, I seen some pics on Blade Forums or somewhere...i lost it, that showed you could not snap the snap on the leather Balisong pouch with a 42 in it.
Does anyone have the pouch and a 42?

Is this true..I was thinking of picking one up for christmas.

Is this just a case of a tight fit and it gets better with use or does the 42 not fit the Leather pouch at all. Or was it a problem at first run...but since has been fixed????

best thing I would do is call G2 or Gary Greely on Bladeforums. He makes the best bali sheaths. I have one of his for my Bradley Mayhem.

The sheaths look great. I may wait and just get a custom job....

I am guessing it is an isolated incident. Like the pouch had been made a grunt to small.
Or the 42 is just a bit to long on the handles

It was designed specifically to accommodate 51, so 42 won't fit in it.

In looking at the Benchmade Website on my droid..which is not the easiest thing to do.

it specificly states fits 42 and 51....
that is why I was posting the question.
Because of the photos on the other website I had doubt about the sheath fitting.
So, now that we know the exact sheath I am refering to and your comment about it not fitting I am truely lost and feel like I shall abandon the whole thing.
I believe I found something else
a 710 M390 to spend my dollar on.

I'll just keep using the velcro sheath.

This style of sheath was first introduced with the release of the 51-91, it was part of the package. And at that time there was a discussion here about it, IIRC it was confirmed by BM that this sheath was made with 51 in mind.
I don't think the design of this sheath changed since it was first released and it's possible that product page has a small error (happened before).

oh, ok I see. I had been a way for awhile and just missed that thread.

Heck maybe it was also made for the 42, it wouldn't be the first time BM has released a sheath for a knife that clearly doesn't fit the knife

In speaking with Diana at BM she confirmed that the 42 does not fit.
I forwarded the page and made note of the type-o per her request and she forwarded it to webmaster. As I understand it she said they would be removing the product from the page. Probably ment make an adjustment as to it only fits the 51. We shall see.
