So I was at the benchmade factory store today looking around. I was asking (tongue in cheek) when they were going to release more 42's. A unnamed person told me (and said they would deny it if this information ended up on the board) that they say something floating around in engineering that might resemble a updated version of a 42. They said that the 42 would probably not be released again but if they did, it would probably be a new improved version. I left with the distinct impression that we will see a new improved version at some point.This message has been edited. Benchmade flat out said that they will be coming out with a new gold class 42 in 6 months or so at the blade show p.s. it will be ALL damascus blade and handles | |||

I don't care as long as the handles are made from machined channel construction stainless steel or titanium. The damascus blade and handle 42 sounds like a limited edition run. This rumor may be for a new production knife in their lineup...
