usually that's just a sign of good lock up and no handle play.

is it unbearable to squeeze the handles to unlock the bali?

i have a 51 that when its in the open position and i want to lock the handles that way, i have to squeeze pretty damn hard to get the latch to lock but i like it like that because then its a tight handle and basically a fixed blade....

to me it sounds like they got the tightness right unless its so unbearable to squeeze that you can BARELY do it?

hhmmmm how's their customer service? maybe they can loosen that up for you then. usually this is a tang pin issue - but i am only in the know about benchmade balisongs i'll admit.

it should be tight but also easy to get open should you need your blade in a heartbeat....

If theres a warranty issue .....I send it to BM.

I notice a lot of people squeeze in the wrong location with the Mayhem.

Squeeze near the latch only - I use one finger only.

Otherwise, man-up and get some Captains of Crush or Baraban hand grip training tools. Smiler

I thought they only had issues with shipping autos?

And my 42 was like that when I first got it, but it doesn't seem as bad now. My 32 and 51 are easy.
