Although I would like to see the 4x still sold.... Especially the 43......

The 51 is growing on me. I've learned to flip it over the 24th and 25th and in many ways it's easier to flip than the 42 and like Mark said it's clip is really useful.... No reason to not carry it unless it's illegal in your area

the blade is wicked scary if you're on the wrong end of it..... I give it a SOLID A-

hey I admit when I'm wrong Smiler

I wonder when the black blade version or Bowie 51 will come out?

I'm waiting for the Bowie too.

It's my first bali-song and love this knife! I stink at flipping, but it feels great with the knife. I was mastering the Y2K when I got a real cut and had to stop for a few days. I'll tape the blade next time I try something "fancy".

A black blade would be pretty sweet.

I got a 42 on Christmas Eve and have been flipping it. I don't recommend going back and forth between the two.

mark you're right.....i had a 45 with stainless steel handles and thought the 42 was light with its titanium handles....

now the 42 feels heave like a brick.....but i still love it.....just think the 51 isn't hard to flip at all....its almost too easy?

I'm really happy Benchmade offered us such a variety of balisongs. Now I find it very interesting to switch from
51 to Ti handles 42 and then to SS handles 42 and back to 51. Of course for some simple tricks like Zen/Y2k rollovers, basic twirls. It is really funny. Much like driving different cars.
