It was a LE run of less then 100 made for EDC Knives back in 2004. It has SS handles (probably left over from older 44, 45, 48 models) and CNC machined DEEP hollow ground S30V blade. The only 4x series bali that was released latchless. It also came with a custom fitted leather sheath.

I believe it was supposed to be a run of 95, but 3 were damaged and 92 were released. I will take some more pics, including the SWEET leather sheath made by Duane Puckett AKA Leatherman AKA Armorall Leather. I have nothing but the best to say about this knife..... It is pure perfection, but the only negative side is that it has now fueled my desire for SS handled BM balis.... I have now stopped really looking into newer models, and have taken an expensive trip into the time machine.....

The handles are old stock 45/48 handles that were on their way to the dumpster, only to be stopped at the last minute by V. Collver, the results are simply amazing... At least thats how the story goes...

I really love the hybrid feel of this bali. It has the amazing CNC hollow grind as opposed to the old school skills of hand ground blades (Oh Jody, one of your pieces will eventually make its way to me....), old handles with a modern pivot....... But the song it sings while being flipped is just totally surprising. The resonation in the handles makes a high pitched bell-like ringing... Awesome.

Thanks for the Comments guys, I hope to do a little youtube review/show off here soon.

The sound it makes when flipped is truly wonderful. I've been fortunate enough to have three of those at one time (down to two now) and it's one of my favorite balis to flip. Just a wonderful knife, and REALLY pointy. And weighted so well.

I believe I'm also a knife-o-holic.
