Flipping my sharpest knife, the Balibalistic.  I didn't notice I was bleeding on my index until I got careless and it bit my thumb.

Nice Knife man

I remember my buddy once cut himself with a 42 and it was so clean he didn't really feel it and it took a bit to start bleeding, once it started he was flinging droplets everywhere.

Im dying to get back into flipping.

My Benchmade Balisongs don't cut me anymore. I am used to the weight. I have 4x Balisongs except for the 49 and 48S that I sold off.

I get cut by my Matt Cook FHM and Balibalistic. Also from my Basilisks when I still had them.

These cuts are pretty superficial except for the thumb. It's almost healed after 12 hours.

Not too bad - I bet you've had a lot worse in the past. Big Grin

It seems that no matter how long a person flips, there's always another cut waiting down the line, somewhere.

Not that I'm anywhere near the level as a lot of guys here, but now that I'm used to the 42 and 51, I could never even attempt to flip my first bali - an old Manila Folder. Don't know if you've ever seen one, but it's got enormous solid brass handles and is sharpened halfway back along the backbone. The latch is also "Manila style."

That was the baby that impaled my foot back in the '80s and put me off of flipping for a pretty good while. Cut my fingers and knuckles to the bone more than once, too, and being a tattoo artist, I couldn't take any more risks with it at the time. There was no YouTube to learn from back then, either. In fact, if you were on the Internet at all, it was through CompuServe, or something like that. I'm not sure AOL was even popular by that time. It's fun to take out and look at evey once in a while, though.

I had some bad cuts. Some more often than not. When I got comfortable with the handles floating over the fingers and hands, I developed insight into flipping. Hence my post on minimizing cuts. I am currently trying to flip my latchless, 29 knives double edged stiletto. It's smooth but heavy.
