you'll love the 51....at first (before buying one) i was ripping on it but its fun to flip) and if you can buy an ipad i would definitely do it....as a Ph.D student i won't be buying anything like that until i defend next fall (hopefully)

I do love my 51 as well as the 42 I got several days ago. I just ordered another 51 for EDC and wanted a second 42, also for EDC. I want to back them up (as well as other knives and so forth) to keep in the safe for my son or, his kids, if he ever decides to have any.

I was joking about the iPad instead of the 42...I'll have both, eventually. In fact, my mother just made me an offer that is difficult to refuse: She says she'll set me up with an iPad if I quit smoking. To add to the comedy here, she's 82 and I'm 53. Since I'm diagnosed as borderline emphysema, I should have quit long ago.

I'm sorry for your loss, Jedi. Mine died of pancreatic cancer. My mother has endured a mastectomy, many skin melanomae and is now dealing with emphysema. It came on pretty hard once she quit smoking. Strange how that works.

But you're right about the extra money saved. If one of the online dealers took PayPal, I'd be waiting on a Tumult and a couple of H&Ks right now. As it is, I don't feel like swapping the money back to my bank just yet.
