I got an email from Bladeplay today with a listing for a sub-2" balisong (1.9".)

I thought all balis were illegal in CA, but I don't live there so I just assumed, since everyone here who lives in Cali says they can't carry them. If the Impel is legal in CA, does that mean this bali is, too?

Not that anyone actually would carry one - it's pretty silly-looking, actually.

I live in Texas so I am not sure but I have heard that sub 2 inch balisongs are legal in California. That's not to say that if you tried to carry even a legal one people won't complain or harass you about your "switchblade gang knife."

Well, they do have a "keychain-sized" bali which I ordered for fun a long time ago. It's not a serious knife at all, but it does have a stainless blade that can be sharpened. But the one I'm talking about is manufactured as a serious (relatively speaking) bali they call "Stubby." Here's what it looks like:

Kind of looks a bit like an Impel blade, LOL. I think it's priced at $13.99. Since we can't post seller links here, if you go to bladeplay.com and look at the links on the left side of the page, you'll find the ones for "Butterfly knives." Click on the link for $2.00 through $15.00 - the keychain balis are at the top of the first page, and the 1.9" ones with full-size handles like in the pic above are on the bottom of the page. I'll also PM you the link.

I almost coughed up the $60 for one until I remembered how much time I spent organizing my files. I'd hate to see them get all mixed up after flipping it, heheheh... Roll Eyes
