Log in. They're like 225$. Yeah it's spendy but it's a new Benchmade Bali and I think it's a pretty decent looking knife. Cheaper than a 42 anyway... not much more than a 51 either...

bhq had them for 225 earlier this morning and when i went back and checked it said 297 something. maybe i'm just going crazy idk its possible....and 225 i'm a buyer,but at almost 300 i'll wait for a used one...

Yeah really... well I had my preorder in over at the place that's grand in the prarie and they only wanted (with shipping) 232$.

I do believe that "GPK" has them for less than "HQ".....so your not going Crazy, I hope. Though I do not understand the HUGE price Diffs.

It doesn't surprise me. I've seen the head quarters scalp quite a few knives. They had a first pro 42 for 1000$ not too long ago. Wonder if it sold...

HQ operates more like a collector shop than a retail shop. They are often the first to list new models and allow pre-orders for them. They don't discount as heavily because for a while they're the only game in town. It's up to the individual to decide if they want to pay a little premium to be the first people they know to have a product. It's pretty common in most things people find collectible I think.

That's where the pricing discrepancies come from: anybody selling for less than MSRP (most online retailers) have to decide what their markup is based on overhead, shipping charges, # of employees, etc. Have to decide if you'll be a volume or unique dealer. The one we're talking about here is a bit of a hybrid. They often buy knives and collections back from collectors and resale them on the site in addition to offering the newest and shiniest wares.
