bought a model 51 and was wondering why the Benchmade logo and the steel type were so low on the blades, in the pictures i see its usually higher up towards the handles. was wondering if that's normal, or if its a defect | ||

i dont know how to post pics, but i did take some. im pretty sure its not fake, and if it is its a damn good one. came in a the box, and even had the little Benchmade baggie. | |||

Alex, they did that on a lot of them. My 51 is the same way. Not centered and slightly crooked. If it really bothers you call Benchmade CS and see if they would make it right. As a user it shouldn't matter , but as a collector its nice to have the best specimen possible. thanks. I was a little worried that i payed $200 for a fake knife, but i was pretty sure it was real. i did a little research and heard it was a common proble, but to hear it from another user comfirms my belief.  | |||

i'm a collector AND a flipper so i sent mine back to benchmade and they replaced the blade with one that has a centered logo "I see you have constructed a new lightsaber." | |||
